Officially pregnant! 7 weeks 1 day

Well, I guess the beta's were official too... But on Friday I had my ultrasound and we have a little bean with a heart beat! According to Babycenter, our bean is actually the size of a blueberry this week and it is growing rapidly!

I am a paranoid wreck of nerves. I am worried and nervous that something is going to happen, and I second guess every twinge and muscle spasm. I am holding my breath that everything progresses normally and without problems, at least through the first trimester. Let's just get through 5 more weeks and then we'll go from there :) I want so badly to be able to do this for my guys and I am worried about disappointing them. I'm trying to stay stress free but it's always in the back of my mind. Were any of you like this? Does it ever end?!

All nerves aside, I'm feeling pretty good. No morning sickness yet (knock on wood) but I do have some fatigue and major breast tenderness.... one wrong move when my daughter lays her head down to snuggle and I am almost in tears!

I have another ultrasound next week, and at that point I'll be about 8 and a half weeks. Then the week after that is my first doctors appointment with my OB! PLLLEEEASE send lots of positive vibes my way, so this little bean wants to hang around for another 7 months or so!

Little baby bean sac!

Here are a couple of pictures from this week :) The top one was on Monday, and you can see the little arrow pointing to the tiny gestational sac. The bottom one is from today and the sac is MUCH more obvious! Fingers crossed for a beautiful fetal pole and heartbeat next week!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Magic number, phase 3

I had another blood draw today! We wanted my levels to be at least 7,284 and they came back at 8,397!! Looks like the little bean is getting comfy in there and I'm oh so happy about it :) My ultrasound tech snuck a peek yesterday and there is one gestational sac with a nice fat placenta growing! The gestational sac was teeny tiny, which is totally appropriate at 5 weeks, but it is definitely in there. We are one step closer on this wonderful journey! The guys are very pleased with my blood results so far and we are all anxiously awaiting my ultrasound(s) next week.

Magic number, phase 2

Well, I got my blood drawn again today. We were hoping for my numbers to double, which would be 850. The results came back and survey says..............

1215!!!!!!

Holy cow, right?! There's definitely a baby growing like crazy in my belly! The guys are excited and I feel much better seeing the numbers rise appropriately. The guys are still going to wait for the first ultrasound before they tell anyone, but we are definitely feeling good at this point!

So far, I've been feeling pretty good. Definitely have breast tenderness and increase in size, and an occasional headache. This morning I felt queasy at work for an hour or two, but thankfully that passed without any incidents ;)

Hopefully I can update with an ultrasound picture next week!
