Half way done

Holy smokes, I can't believe we're already half way done! I am still feeling great and often forget that I'm pregnant :) The bean is wiggling more and more, and the guys will be here on Thursday for our anatomy scan. My doctor does the ultrasounds and we have an appointment at the same time, so they will all get to meet each other. Hopefully we have time to do a hospital tour as well.


I took my mom to Denver this weekend to celebrate her birthday, and we had a blast! We went to a baseball game, and a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. We also relaxed a lot and did one of our favorite things- SHOPPING!


There isn't much to report on the baby/pregnancy front.... we are a banana this week- approximately 6.5 in long and about 10.5 oz. I love to feel the bean move and kick around, it's absolutely my favorite part of pregnancy! I can't wait for it to get bigger and move more! Remind me of this blog post in 15 or so weeks when I'm super uncomfortable and complaining about the bean keeping me awake with all it's movement, and how I can't breathe because I've got feet in my ribs, etc. :)


Here's a picture from Denver, the belly is finally starting to poke out a little more! I will update after our ultrasound on Thursday, and I can't wait to find out what the gender of this little person is! 

We have movement!

I am 17 weeks 6 days today, HOLY COW!! I have been feeling some subtle movements on the inside for about a week or so now. It just feels like bubbles, or a muscle twitch usually, and it took me a few times to be convinced that it was actually the Bean moving! Then today I was laying down and I was feeling it a lot, so I pulled my shirt up and I COULD SEE IT!! The little Bean was wiggling away! It was so awesome! I immediately texted the guys and they're thrilled too, of course :) It makes me happy because it gives me hope that they will be able to see and feel it when they are here in a few weeks for our 20 week ultrasound. I think I'm more excited to see the guys than I am to find out the sex of the baby, LOL. There hasn't been much of anything exciting going on lately... still don't have a big belly, still no crazy pregnancy symptoms. Just hanging out, growing a baby :)

Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, nothing exciting has been going on. I can't believe we get to find out the gender of this bean next month! My belly is starting to poke out a little, and the bean is the size of an apple this week (about 4 inches long). I am still feeling great, no complaints to speak of! The guys are as amazing as ever, and sent me a really sweet gift and card for making it through the first trimester. Here are some pictures:

I had another ultrasound today, for our first trimester screening, and an OB appointment. All is going awesome and baby looks great! It's the size of a lime this week and getting bigger by the second. I'm amazed at the detail we can see in the ultrasound pictures, fingers and legs and feet and a facial profile. It's crazy! 

I'm still feeling great, no real complaints to speak of. I feel like I get irritated easier than when I'm not pregnant, and I really do thing pregnancy brain is legit because sometimes I forget the stupidest things. Other than that, we're doing good! I'm at that in between stage, feeling chubby and squishy and my jeans don't fit but maternity clothes are too big... I'll be happy when that's over! Here's a picture from today. No real bump yet, just a sweet muffin top :)

Look how cute the baby is getting! I can't believe that we could actually see a profile and a FOOT! The little bean was wiggling all over in my belly on the ultrasound and it was SO NEAT! You'd think I'd never seen a baby before :)

Well, I had my first appointment with my OB yesterday and all is looking great with the bean! Here's a picture:

His/her head is on the left, and the heartrate was 169 beats per minute. My OB was awesome and the guys are excited that we've "graduated" from the RE to the "real doctor". Just a couple more weeks and we're in the safe zone! 

I've been feeling pretty good, no real nausea. I've started getting some headaches and feeling more tired over the last week or 2, but that's about it. No weight gain and I'm not showing yet. I've been craving healthy stuff (YAY!) like fruit, yogurt, cheese, frozen yogurt with fruit, and not very much sweet stuff. Let's hope it stays like this so I don't gain a million pounds!

We're getting closer to the end of the first trimester, just a few more weeks! I had an ultrasound yesterday and here's the little bean! Look how much it's grown!
